“What’s my work in the world?” is a friend’s favorite question. It cuts right through the stories and shoulds and beliefs that sometimes drive our career aspirations. Look closely at your job or career. Be fully present feeling into your heart, mind and soul.  What does the world require from you, this life? What is the world to you? The answers that arise will offer guidance on your work in the world.

How you do the work you are meant to be doing will open up, once you answer what work you are meant to be doing. Don’t skip ahead, just ask: What’s my work in the world? I wonder.
