$ Knowledge or Ignorance

How do you develop your money knowledge? I wonder…

Without knowledge ignorance pervades. This statement is true about all topics. But some topics, like money, seem difficult to learn and we settle for ignorance. The first step in becoming more knowledgeable about money is to let go of the belief that money knowledge is difficult.  The second step is to get interested (see previous weekly wonder) about money knowledge. Let whatever interests you be the guide to the next step. The next step is to follow your interest with impulse. Consider the following impulses: google the topic of interest and read an article; ask a friend or mentor about the topic; listen to a podcast about your money topic; journal – what do I know about this topic and what do I believe I am lacking?

Just like we become knowledgeable about any topic, we get interested. Interest begins to build confidence which eliminates ignorance. So, are you choosing money knowledge or money ignorance? I wonder…
